Mount Meru  the second highest Mountain in Tanzania and is the fifth-highest mountain in Africa, Stands at a height of 4,566 meters (14,980 ft), is a dormant stratovolcano mountain. It is found in Arusha National Park, 70 Kilometers (43 miles) west of Mount Kilimanjaro in the country of Tanzania.

Climb Mount Meru has amazing experiences of amazing wildlife as you hike past wild animals. Typically Mount Meru Climb takes four days, but it can be done in 3 days to complete a trek to the top as even on this lower peak, acclimatization is the key to success. All trekking groups take the same route up the mountain, which begins at Momella Gate.

Hikers stay in a number of huts while climbing, the hurts offers basic comfortable accommodations located at two different campsites along the summit rout, located at Socialist Peak.

Overview

The starting point of your hike, unfolds some amazing wildlife, you can observe giraffes, zebras and many other animals. Because of the wildlife in the park, from the Momella Gate you will be accompanied by an armed park ranger. The route takes you across the Ngare Nanyuki River, as you then walk along the river and will see buffalo herds, baboons and other animals.
